Fractures, Broken Bones & Dislocations

Fracture Care

Non-surgical fractures are treated in our office with bracing. Fractures often require frequent follow ups and x-rays to monitor the healing of the bones. If the bone will not heal on its own with simple bracing, surgical repair of the fracture may be indicated. This is often the case for patella fractures, clavicle fractures, among others. Surgery may vary from a simple pinning to plating, to a combination of both. Dr. Joyce will explain the procedure in detail to the patient along with all the necessary precautions and rehabilitation protocols.
